My all-time favorite podcast is The Longest Shortest Time. And I can't figure out how to post a review in Apple Podcasts, so I'll say that my favorite episodes of DSM are the listener stories ones, and I often don't finish the celebrity interviews. But I'm eternally grateful to y'all for introducing me to Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, who are now among my favorite musicians. I would love to hear Jason on the show again; he's always so insightful.
Longest shortest was so wonderful!!! I heard it before I wanted to be a parent and relished every episode. Now that I struggling through infertility, I look forward to listening to the whole pod all over again but with a new (pregnant) lens.
I'm so glad you went back to church! I have also done that lately - I attend an affirming and progressive United Church of Christ church, Congregationalist. It is a wonderful way to engage in community.
Financial Therapy: about Cora and Garrett and of Adonis! I came across DSM during the pandemic and just love stories. The other podcast to listen to is Dead Eyes, Connor Ratliff can be so freaking funny!
Did you catch Nadia bolz Weber on slate how to recently with Courtney Martin? It was great. Thank you Anna for your great recommendations. Can’t wait for DSMs return. I’m also reading Scott shigeokas book about curiosity right now and it really makes me think of you and how authentically you show up in conversations ask powerful questions. You really master everything he’s describing
Girl. If we have ONE more thing in common I'll do my classic crazed baboon squeal. I spent much of the early 90s in a Unitarian Church in Downtown Louisville for Genesis Arts Kentucky singing and dance classes.. Aaaaanyway.. Good for you for getting churches, rested and taking in info. Ok Byeeeee
I am so excited about Death, Sex and Money continuing with Slate. Your show is one of my favorite podcasts. I love listening to people who have overcome issues, big and small, and hearing how they came out the other side. It always makes me feel hopeful for myself and the human race 🥰
Terry Ryan is a 47 year old *former pro hockey player and son of another former pro - they're both world class story tellers and fine examples of how interesting the middle of nowhere (which is not the nicest way to refer to Newfoundland, but my point stands) can be. *He recently suited up for a single pro game after having not played pro for 21 years and the crowd of folks who came to see him play included fans of his from across the spectrum. He acts, has a degree in folklore, has written two books, and has a second generation obsession with the Beatles. I'll admit I'm a fan of all things peculiarly Canadian, however I think even non-hockey, non-Canuck obsessed folks might find a real life most interesting man in the room worth a listen.

I am so happy to have found you recently.
And absolutely thrilled to have the archives to listen to while you take some downtime before starting up again.
One of my favorite episodes was Adonis, the NYC mover.
I think I first heard about Death, Sex & Money on “Heavyweight.” Could that be right?
Definitely a worthy podcast and I’m hopeful they will find a new home as well.
Heavyweight is awesome - just the seasons are too short!
Yes! I loved Adonis.
I am a huge fan of Vibe Check
second this!!
Besides DS&M, my favorite podcast is An Arm and a Leg about health care in America.
I listen to that one too!
My favorite road trip podcast is Tooth & Claw: True stories of animal attacks. It's the one podcast my husband and I enjoy equally.

I love Terrible, Thanks for Asking and their new spin off It’s Going to be Ok.
